She, along with Pegasus, Joel and Paelen, must battle monsters and fight against the CRU to rescue him. Another Olympian, Cupid, insists in joining them. Can Emily control her powers in time to rescue her father and save Olympus from destruction?This is the second book in the series. I absolutely LOVED it! Sometimes a second book is not as good as the first one, but this one is as good, if not better! This book is as fast paced as the first one, and the action is more intense!Emily is a fantastic character. I keep forgetting that she's only 13! Because she has been re-born as the Flame, she has now developed Olympian powers, which she is struggling to control.Joel has grown a lot too. Not just his character, but physically too. He is one of my favourite characters. He has a more level-headed approach to problems and doesn't panic.Paelen has become a reformed character. He has given up being a thief, but he is a fantastic friend! He can always get you out of a tight spot! He's my favourite character after Pegasus!Kate has introduced a whole range of new characters in this book; Some good, and some down-right nasty! I love how she has combined them to enhance and enrich the story. This is a fantastic adventure series for children (11+) and adults too. I highly recommend this book if you love mythology or horses, or both.
