Review 7*******I was given this book by the author for an honest review.I fell in love with this story and I struggled to put it down! This paranormal YA book will take you on a fantastic, magical journey!Dayton Blainey is your stereo-typical teenager. However, behind all the foul language and the “couldn’t care less” attitude, she is a very lost soul. I love her character. She is a feisty, take charge kind of woman, who refuses to show her weaknesses. The rebelliousness she shows is a bone of contention between her aunt and herself.When she becomes seventeen, Dayton finds out a secret about herself that could catapult not only her, but her friends into a war.There are some other fantastic characters in this book, namely Monroe, Conor and Marcas.I love the camaraderie between Dayton and Monroe. They are more like sisters than Dayton and Amber. I would certainly like a friend like Monroe. She is loving, witty and is there for Dayton when she needs a shoulder to cry on.Conor is a surprise. He’s always been there for Dayton, but it’s not until later in the book you find out why. He’s a great guy and I can see myself crushing on him too!Marcas is an enigma. I don’t want to give too much away on him, because he is an integral part of the story, and I would like to keep the air of mystery surrounding him intact. Needless to say, I’m conflicted! He is definitely HOT, but then demons usually are!This book is full of action and adventure! The characters seemed to jump off the page! I actually got so lost in the story, that I could feel all the emotions pouring off the pages! R.K. Ryals has written a fantastic story and I cannot wait to dive back into the next book in the series, Ransom! I highly recommend this book if you are looking for a paranormal YA book that has a lot of magic, angels and sexy demons!
