Witchcraft (Witchblood Series)

Witchcraft - Emma Mills Review 6******I was given a copy of this book by the author in return for an honest review. This is the second book in the Witchblood Series. Sequels are not necessarily better than the first book. However, that is not the case with this book. I loved it!Jess is a fascinating character. After being turned into a vampire, her latent witch powers are called forth. She is still struggling with her new vampire life (still having cravings for toast!). However, after being initiated into her American family's coven, things start to happen that will test her to her limits. This is an exciting sequel that unites Jess with some old friends, and also with some new ones. I struggled to put this book down! I was taken on a journey from Manchester to London, and on a wild ride of danger and action. I made a comment in my review of Witchblood that Sebastian, the leader of the Northern clan of vampires, crept me out. He still does, but we get to see a bit of his life in this book, and it made me change my perception of him slightly. Jess also makes a new friend, in the shape of a 16 year old witch called Brittany.Emma Mills has written a fantastic YA paranormal romance series that is completely unique. I love the way the story flows. It seems a bit more fluid compared to the first book. Perhaps it's because it's the second book, and she has found her stride. Whatever the reason, I found myself loving this story more. I certainly didn't see the ending coming! It's a bit of a shocker, let me tell you! I am now looking forward to reading the next book in the series to find out what happens next! I highly recommend this book if you are looking for a totally unique vampire/witch YA paranormal romance. - Lynn Worton (WaAR)
