Review 6******This is the second book in the Midnight Hunter Trilogy. I loved the first book, as it was completely unique as YA vampire stories go. However, this book is (in my opinion) even better! I absolutely LOVED it!Donna is still a fantastic character. She has married Hunter and is a proud new mother of a beautiful baby girl. When her baby is kidnapped, Donna is thrown into a dangerous cat and mouse game with the kidnapper. Her only hope is Howie, a 4000 year old demon.Howie is a fantastic character! I don't know why this character has captured my heart, but he has. He is extremely cantankerous (you would be too if you were 4000 years old and a demon!) and repeatedly says he hates humans. He is a chain smoker with a love of guns (he owns a gun shop). He is abrasive, and downright ruthless when he wants something. This story is an amazing tale of danger, friendship and love that had me hooked from the first page. I didn't put it down until I had finished it! I loved every single page! The book was so well written that the characters came alive for me. I could easily "see" the scenes in my minds eye. This story had me on a roller-coaster ride of emotion. The ending was bitter sweet for me, because I didn't want it to end. Luckily there is a third book, Final Hour of the Hunter, to get my hands on! I would love to see this series on the big screen!Bonnie Bernard has created a fantastic, fast paced series with some amazing characters that are extremely memorable. I have already added this author onto my favourites list from reading her first book. I am now looking forward to reading many more of her books in the future. I very highly recommend this book (and series) if you love your YA Paranormal Romance to be filled with danger, vampires, goddesses and demons. - Lynn Worton
