Review 6 out of 5Elora has a feeling she is being followed everywhere she goes, but puts it down to paranoia. However, hearing the sounds of wings and footsteps, but not seeing anything, doesn't mean there's nothing there. Or does it? When she is physically attacked without seeing her attacker, Elora thinks she's losing her mind. When an attractive stranger saves her, she is suspicious of his motives and thinks he's in on it. Can she trust him, when she can't even trust herself? This is a fantastic book! I'm kicking myself for not reading it sooner! The wit and humour that I found in this book had me grinning and sniggering. Don't get me wrong, this book is not a comedy, but Lily Crussell has infused her characters with a fantastic sense of humour that tickled my funny bone! Unfortunately, there are parts that also made me cry. But this, to me, is an indication of a fantastic story!Elora is a very mature 17 year old. She's had to be. Her parents are virtually non-existent, and are travelling around the world. When she begins to hear footsteps and wings, but does not see anything, she thinks she is losing her mind. Her best friend Thomas is a fantastic character. He is the brother I think she wishes she had. His mother doesn't like Elora and does her best to keep them apart, which I think is sad! When Elora is attacked, she is rescued by Raziel. Raziel is an angel, and Elora's soul mate. When Raziel goes missing, Elora asks Barachiel, his angel brother, to help find him. What ensues is a desperate race to locate Raziel and to find out what, or who, has been attacking Elora. As I read this story, I fell in love with the angels and even Lucifer! They are so charming, and Barachiel's wit made me smile, especially the scene where he... Nope, not telling! I am now wanting to read the next book, because I really, really NEED to find out the mystery of the Nephilim, and why they attacked Elora! I highly recommend this YA book if you love angels and a fantastic romance/action/adventure!
