Bonded by Crimson - Zrinka Jelic I received a copy of this book from the author in return for an honest review. This is a most intriguing paranormal romance. I loved it!Kate is a wonderful character. She is a very loving person. I found her to be extremely likeable. She is trying to get her life back on track after a divorce. When she is offered a position as a nanny in a widower's household, she decides to take it. What she didn't expect was to fall in love with the boys in her charge. For some reason, their father was also familiar, even though they had never met. Or had they?Matthias is also a wonderful character. He is an immortal who has lived for over 300 years. Although bitten by a vampire, he is not one himself. He is very stubborn and charismatic, but also very lonely. He still misses his dead wife, but when Kate enters his household, and danger seems to lurk in the shadows, Matthias realises that he has a chance at love again. This is a fantastic paranormal romance that takes you from Canada to Croatia. I loved the contrast between the two countries. I could tell that the author loves both of these countries, because her descriptions painted pictures in my head. I also loved the other characters in the book. The triplets were adorable! Each of them had their own personalities. Ivan, Luka and Mateo are six, and they quickly won me over. They reminded me of my nephews at that age. Unfortunately, for me, there was not a lot of paranormal activity in this book. Yes, there was an immortal and his minion, not to mention a ghost, but there were no other vampires or other threatening supernatural beings. Without those elements, this book would be a straight romance novel. However, having said that, the story was well written and flowed beautifully.Zrinka Jelic has written a sensual and compelling paranormal romance that I thoroughly enjoyed. There are scenes of a sensual nature that, although only slightly explicit, are very hot and not for younger readers. I, therefore, recommend this book if you love steamy paranormal romances. - Lynn Worton
