Flutter (The Discover, #1)

Flutter (The Discover, #1) - Melissa Andrea This is a fantastic story that completely captured me from the first page!Sara is a fascinating character. She thinks that she is a normal teenager, but she is far from a typical one. She is extremely frustrated with her guardian, Andres. He has secrets that he refuses to share. Sara feels completely alone, until she meets Adan.Adan is a wonderful character. He is very handsome, brave and loyal. However, he too is carrying secrets. But, he is also unable to resist the intense connection to Sara. Even though he knows he should stay away from her, he finds that he cannot. This is a most unusual tale. I can honestly say that I have not read anything similar to this in any way. It is a completely unique. I loved that there were different points of view, mainly from Andres, Aden and Sara. My only quibble, if you can call it that, is that it is a very slow and slightly laborious in places. Then again, maybe it was just me. The attraction between Sara and Adan is so intense, that the rest of the story seemed to be duller in comparison. These characters are so vivid, that they stood out and out shone all others. I'm not saying I didn't enjoy the story, because I did, very much. In fact, by the time I reached the end, I had fallen in love with it. There are a few twists, so when the truth was revealed, I was completely shocked. The ending has me wanting to read the next book as soon as possible.Melissa Andrea has written an amazing story that swept me up into a whirlwind of feelings; I laughed and cried in equal measure. I recommend this book if you love YA Paranormal Romance. - Lynn Worton
