Aimee witnesses her fiancé commit murder days before their wedding. Terrified, she flees from the life she knows and finds herself lost in Greece. She finds herself thrust into a strange world of supernatural beings and confronts the truth of who she really is. Confusing memories of her previous life torment her when she meets a mysteriously handsome stranger, who wants to rescue her. Battling her feelings for her ex-fiancé, and the strange hold he has over her, can Aimee face the ultimate decision to lose all humanity and become the weapon for the Rogues, or to destroy the creation of love? Will Aimee be able to make the sacrifices needed to overcome deceit, love and her power, which is irrepressibly blood thirsty?I absolutely loved this story! I was pulled into it, and I struggled to put it down! It is a story full of twists and turns, and keeps you on the edge of your seat. Aimee witnesses her fiancé kill her best friend, and does the smart thing and runs away. She is a strong character, but as the story unfolds, you begin to see she's a lot stronger than she thought. She meets a stranger, Alec, who tries to help her. Alec is handsome and mysterious. He is a great character, and I thought that he could have had a bit more page time; as this is a series, I'm hoping that he will. If you like vampires and werewolves, I highly recommend this book to you. Emily Gossett has made me a fan of her work, and I look forward to reading more of Aimee's story.
